  • God is in control

This is something that I have been thinking about a lot lately.

God is in control! God is in control! God is in control! God is in control!

Say it like that out loud. Is that not wonderful! Our God is in control of everything. He is the One who provides us with the air that we breath and our jobs and our parents and everything!

If God is in control why do we live in the what ifs?

Two Sundays ago a good friend of my dad's came to church and preached. I loved his sermon because it is something I need to remember and think about.

Here is the link to his sermon on sermonaudio.com it is well worth you time.

If God is in control there is no reason to worry. When we worry we are telling God that He is not strong enough to care for our concerns.

I read Philippians this morning and many times in that book God tells us how to battle anxiety.

Here are something my mom tells me constantly:
Every time you catch yourself worrying pray. Bring your concerns before God and lay them at His feet. The bible says (Phil 4:6-7) "Be anxious for nothing. But with prayer and supplication with thanksgiving make your requests known to God." the great part is that it doesn't stop there it continues with "And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." is that not a wonderful promise?

If you keep reading (Phil 4:8-9) God tells us what to think about instead "Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you."

I love the Bible. God was so very gracious to give it to us. Life without it would be horrible.

I am sorry if this is kinda (or a lot) scattered. I am tired.

  • Please Pray

An ambulance just pulled up to my neighbor's house I do not know what is wrong or if they are going to take one to the hospital. Please pray for their health and their salvation.

Also, Christie B's son Titus is sick with a rare form of something in the chicken pox family. it is treatable but he is in a lot of pain from the rash and is not sleeping very well which of course means Christie isn't either. Please pray that God will seed along the healing process and that They will both be able to get some sleep.

And last but not least please pray for our country. I just finished reading my dad's and jaz's blogs and it is very said to see the times that we live in.

  • Milwaukee Public Museum

So yesterday Marie Mallach, Tom, my mom and I went to the Milwaukee Public Museum to see the corpse flower. We had so much fun!

This is me, my mom, and Marie in Japan!

They were so patient with me!

Butterflies were landing on us and chasing us all over the butterfly room!

Christie B when you come home (Lord willing) I want to take you and Ti to see the butterflies. I think he would have so much fun in there!
